Most consolidation advisors stop at the scenarios paper. We sell pre-deal and post-deal as a continuum - the pre-deal scenarios shape the integration plan; the integration plan validates the pre-deal scenarios. Selling both protects against the "report and disappear" pattern that boutique DD providers can carry.
